Knowledge Domains

A Knowledge Domain (KD) represents a major role or responsibility within a service provider organization.

USMBOK Knowledge Domains :

The USMBOK offers seven major knowledge domains, or roles:

  • Service Customer Management;
  • Service Fulfillment Management;
  • Service Quality Management;
  • Service Delivery Management;
  • Service Operations Management;
  • Service Infrastructure Management;
  • Service Value Management.

The seven roles span the customer or business facing responsibilities (Service Customer Management), through to the management of technology, facilities, operations and processes (Service Infrastructure Management).
