Performance Management
Being busy is not the same as producing results. The ‘performance management’ knowledge area is responsible for ensure that goals are consistently being met in an efficient manner. Performance management focuses on the performance of the organization, a department, the processes and activities to build, employees, and the infrastructure required to provide and support services.
Performance management is the systematic process by which a service provider organization involves its employees, as individuals and members of a group, in improving the efficiency of how activities are completed in the accomplishment of the mission and stated goals.
Performance management is the ‘quality control’ element of the quality management system and involves a continuous monitoring of predetermined quality measures or control objectives.
